Celebrating 41

1Dr. Marvin W. Lishman is retiring after 41 years as Head of School of Magnolia Heights. Dr. Lishman began his tenure at MHS in 1981, and has led the school with confidence, passion, and faith in God. We take this time to celebrate Dr. Lishman and pray for his next adventures in retirement.

Dr. Lishman has presided over the evolution of Magnolia Heights School to become one of the premier independent schools in Mississippi. During his tenure we have added classrooms many times, built Mini-Mag, Troutt Hall, Baker Hall, baseball and softball fields, and renovated the football stadium and the gym. Our athletic teams regularly represent our school in championship games and championships. We have had two successful financial campaigns, created an annual fund, and have an endowment fund. Our graduates all receive scholarships for higher education and are successful in all walks of life.

Please join us in this special time as we celebrate Dr. Lishman and Mrs. Gay.

To honor him, we invite you to:
  • Make a Gift in honor of Dr. Lishman to the Dr. Marvin W. Lishman Endowment Scholarship.
  • Upload a short video memory and/or written memories and photos below. It will only take you a
minute to film and submit your video. It should make for an unforgettable gift that shares our collective
love and appreciation. Deadline is April 25th!
  • Contribute to the renovation of the Dr. Marvin W. Lishman Gymnasium.
  • Attend his Retirement Celebration on Saturday, April 30th at 10:00am in Troutt Hall.
