Celebrating 41
Dr. Marvin W. Lishman retired after 41 years as Head of School of Magnolia Heights. Dr. Lishman began his tenure at MHS in 1981, and led the school with confidence, passion, and faith in God.
Dr. Lishman presided over the evolution of Magnolia Heights School to become one of the premier independent schools in Mississippi. During his tenure we added classrooms many times, built Mini-Mag, Troutt Hall, Baker Hall, baseball and softball fields, and renovated the football stadium and the gym. Our athletic teams regularly represented our school in championship games and championships. We had two successful financial campaigns, created an annual fund, and have an endowment fund. Under his leadership, our graduates all received scholarships for higher education and have been successful in all walks of life.
