Bubba Skelton Athletic Director/Head Boys' Basketball Coach
Coach Skelton come to MHS with an impressive background including a five-time Region 23 and five-time MACJC Coach of the Year selection. In 20 seasons as a head coach at the junior college level, Skelton is 394-169 overall for an impressive .700 winning percentage. Along with his years of experience as a head basketball coach, Skelton served as Director of Athletics at Northwest Mississippi Community College from 2014-18. The ranger athletic/academic awards culminated with winning the Halbrook Award for the first time in school history. This most prestigious award is presented to the MS Community College with the highest percentage of graduating student athletes. A native of Leland, Skelton was a four-year letterman at Mississippi College and was an All-GSC Academic team selection in 1986 and 1987. During his time at MHS, the boys' basketball team has won the North State Championship, District Championship, North State Runner-Ups, and Skelton was named District Coach of the Year in 20-21. Skelton is married to the former Tammie Pryor of Ellisville, and they have one son, Trey, a 2015 graduate of MHS, and a former Northwest basketball player.

Chris McMinn is a graduate of Delta State University and began his career as a teacher and coach at Horn Lake High School. As a baseball and basketball coach, he holds many district and state titles. He joined MHS in 2005 as the Head Baseball coach and Head Girls' Basketball coach. He has won 9 of the last 11 Baseball State Championships and has been named the MAIS Coach of the Year 9 times, as well as The Clarion Ledge Coach of the Year in 2013. Over 40 of his players have signed to play college at the next level, including Dustin Skelton formerly playing for the Florida Marlins and Jacob Billingsley formerly with the Houston Astros. His baseball record stands at 442-112 and the 2021 baseball team was ranked #22 Nationally by Collegiate Baseball and #39 Nationally by Baseball America. Coach McMinn is married to Tessa McMinn and they have 3 children, Ashton, Peyton, and Maddux.

Russ Whiteside comes to MHS with an outstanding resume, which includes two state championships as Defensive Coordinator at Heritage Academy. Russ is an alumnus of Magnolia Heights and is excited about the future of MHS Athletics. Coach Whiteside has three children, Lucy, Leighton, and Ellis.


Jacqueline Simpson is 2005 graduate of Magnolia Heights School and currently serving in her fourth year at MHS. She earned a bachelor’s degree from The University of Mississippi in 2009 and a master’s degree from Belhaven University in 2011. Jacqueline is married to Jim Simpson. They live in Senatobia with their two boys, James (5) and Jackson (2).

Zack Suddoth Junior High Boys' Basketball Coach
Zack Suddoth lives in Senatobia with his wife, Lauren, and daughter, Taygen. This is his tenth-year coaching and second year at Magnolia Heights. Coach Suddoth attended Magnolia Heights from 4K through his senior year, where he played multiple sports including basketball, baseball, and track. After graduating, he continued his education at the University of Mississippi, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education specializing in History. After graduating college, Suddoth accepted a job at Strayhorn High School as the High School Boys’ Basketball Coach. Coach Suddoth is currently the all time winningest coach in the school's history. Now in his third year at Magnolia Heights, he is excited to see what this year brings.

Scott Blaylock Head Girls' Soccer Coach
Scott Blaylock was hired as the first full-time Head Coach of the Chiefs soccer programs for Boys and Girls in April of 2019, after serving three seasons as Head Soccer Coach for Boys and Girls at Lake Cormorant Middle School. Prior to coaching and teaching, Coach Blaylock served for 10 years on Active Duty in the Army National Guard. In May of 2015, Blaylock was medically retired from the Army and began his path into teaching and coaching. Coach Blaylock first graduated from Cruger-Tchula Academy in 2001, and later graduated from Ashford University in 2013, with a Bachelor of Arts in Homeland Security & Emergency Management, with a minor in Political Science and Government. In 2018, he received a Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary from Mississippi State University. Blaylock is married to Magnolia Heights’ Tennis Coach, Tasha Conner Blaylock, also a 2001 graduate of Cruger-Tchula Academy. They have two children who also attend MHS. Miller, his daughter, plays soccer and Miles plays Pee Wee football.

Tasha Blaylock Tennis Coach
Coach Tasha Blaylock is originally from Greenwood, MS and a graduate of Cruger-Tchula Academy where she was involved in various school clubs and athletics. She received an Associate’s Degree from Mississippi Delta Community College and B.A. from Ashford University. She also obtained her teaching certification through Belhaven University and currently holds a Master’s Degree from Arkansas State University. Coach Tasha Blaylock currently resides in Hernando with her husband, Coach Scott Blaylock, and two children, Miller and Myles. She has taught 5th and 6th graders for a combined ten years while also serving as a coach or sponsor for the community in soccer, basketball, and a spirit squad. She is currently in her fourth year as a teacher and tennis coach for Magnolia Heights School.

Katelynn Hadley is a graduate of Magnolia Heights and then attended Blue Mountain College where she played basketball from 2006-2010. She is in her 5th year at MHS teaching Elementary Parallel. She is married to Josh Hadley and they have two children, Olen and Finley.

Brett Prosek Head Softball Coach
Brett Prosek is in her 9th year at Magnolia Heights School as Junior High History and Health teacher and Head Softball Coach. Prior to moving to Mississippi, Prosek served as a Volunteer Asst. Coach at the University of Arkansas after finishing her collegiate career as part of the Lady Razorback softball team. Prosek was part of the first-ever recruiting class at Arkansas started by Carie Dever-Boaz in 1996. A love of the diamond runs in the family for Prosek. Her father Bruce Erickson leads the state of Wisconsin in career wins as a Head Baseball Coach. Her older brother, Matt Erickson, is the manger for the Milwaukee Brewers affiliate single “A” team. Prosek graduated from Arkansas in 2001 with a degree in Kinesiology. Prosek and her husband, Andy, reside in Senatobia with their two sons Drew and Cole. Drew was a 2023 graduate of MHS, while Cole plays football, basketball, and baseball.

Ed Rich is a graduate of Delta State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. He coached at Southaven High School for 28 years. He was the Head Baseball Coach for 13 years and holds 3 state championship titles. He also served as the Head Football Coach for 13 years. Coach Rich is married to Luanne Rich and they have 3 children. He is entering his 5th year at MHS.

Clayton Sibley; ATC, LAT is the Athletic Trainer for Magnolia Heights. He has served as an Athletic Trainer since 2017 for Cornerstone Rehabilitation. His main goal is to both prevent and treat injuries for all Chief athletes. Clayton is a graduate of Harding University, where he was a part of the sports medicine team for both football and softball. He is a native of Batesville,MS.

Hunter Lacefield is a 2014 graduate of Magnolia Heights where he played football, baseball, and ran track. During his time as a baseball player under Coach Chris McMinn, they held 3 state championships. Lacefield went on to Northwest Mississippi Community College to play baseball and study Biology. He continued his baseball career after NWCC at Mississippi College and was a part of the 2018 GSC Conference Campion Baseball team. He also earned a degree in Christian Ministry Studies and served as a Youth Ministry Director in Clinton, MS from 2018-2021. He is married to Annah Catherine and they have two children, Wesley and Lilah.

Winn Scott is currently in his 11th year serving as Director of Information Technology. He has coached basketball, football, and tennis at Magnolia Heights. Coach Scott started the WINN Chiefs Sports Network and is currently play by play commentator for our live stream sporting events. He was the Assistant Basketball Coach when the Chiefs won back to back State Championships in 2013 and 2014. He previously coached and taught at Bayou Academy from 2000-2012. He has three children, Reese, Emerson, and Crosby.

Bobby Bouchillon graduated from Delta State with a BS in Physical Education and a Master's in Administration. He began his career at Magnolia Heights in 2002 as the JV Head Football Coach and Assistant Varsity Football Coach. He has served as the Junior High Principal and is now in his third year as Secondary Principal. Coach Bouchillon was a part of the coaching team of the 2001, 2002, 2006 State Championships. He is married to Jennifer and they have three sons, Mac, Rush, and Zane.
